We Use Therapeutic Techniques Including:

One-on-one therapy sessions offer a private space where you can explore the root of your anxiety with focused guidance from a therapist. These personalized sessions help identify specific triggers and develop tailored coping strategies, enhancing your ability to manage anxiety effectively.

This technique helps you accept what you cannot control and commit to actions that align with your values. Using mindfulness to manage anxiety by promoting acceptance of feelings and dedication to personal values this approach helps to ease the psychological impact of anxiety.

This approach combines mindfulness and self-compassion to alleviate anxiety symptoms. It teaches you to approach your feelings without judgment and extend kindness to yourself, reducing negative self-talk and enhancing emotional resilience.

Utilize your unique strengths to combat anxiety symptoms. By recognizing and leveraging personal abilities and comforts, this approach builds self-confidence and empowers you to implement effective coping mechanisms, improving your overall emotional well-being and regaining control of your emotions.

This therapeutic approach utilizes guided eye movements to process and diminish the intensity of distressing memories linked to anxiety. EMDR focuses on these memories while engaging in bilateral sensory input, like side-to-side eye movements, to lessen the emotional impact of negative experiences. By reprocessing these memories, this method promotes emotional stability and reduces anxiety symptoms, helping you move toward a calmer state of mind.
Calm your mind, embrace the future with ease.

Questions About Anxiety Therapy

Unfortunately, no. Anxiety is part of the normal human emotional experience. What we can do is help you to build the tools to be able to move through life, even in the face of anxiety. We help to take the power away from your anxiety and give it back to you so you can feel in control of your life, even in those anxious moments.

If your anxiety is getting in the way of your functioning then it is something you may want to address in therapy. If your anxiety is stopping you from living the life you want to live (for example, avoiding specific situations because of anxiety), therapy can help. For example, if you avoid certain activities or people because of anxiety.

Therapy is a very effective treatment for anxiety. There are certainly times when medication may be helpful, but even this treatment is best when accompanied by therapy. While medication can help to regulate anxiety, therapy will provide you with the tools to manage the anxiety as well as to understand where your anxiety came from

At the outset of therapy, your therapist will do a thorough intake to understand who you are, where you came from and where you want to go. Once armed with this information, your therapist will help you better understand your anxiety and help you build coping strategies and tools to better manage your anxiety. Anxiety is a normal human emotional experience, so we know it will come up, but you’ll build confidence in your ability to handle it when it does.

There is no one best type of therapy for anxiety. For this reason, each of our therapists has trained in a number of treatment modalities so that they can tailor their approach to one that works best for you. If one approach isn’t working, they are able to adjust their work with you accordingly. With anxiety, we often work from some of the following approaches, including but not limited to – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Based Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy.

After we complete the intake process, we anticipate that you will note some improvement in your ability to handle anxiety within a few sessions. Of course, this depends on your specific situation and how engaged you are in the therapy process and how open you are to trying something different.
